It can use live magnification to magnify any reading material, or it can scan and read a full page of reading material using optical character recognition and Text-to-Speech technology. Magnification is adjusted using 2 finger pinch technology. For scanning and reading functionality, the Patriot VRM 10 offers natural sounding voices and a selection of languages. While listening to scanned material, you can change voice speed, pause, zoom, and resume reading from any location. 8 megapixel camera with LED light. 8 hour battery life.
The Patriot VRM has has built-in Email that is magnified and can read aloud, access to the Internet with Voice Search, and have the web magnified clearly to see, allowing this unit to be a simplified tool for accessing the internet.
