Product Description
Induction cooktops use electronmagnietic technology to heat a cooking pot or pan. This means that the cooking surface itself does not heat up, making induction cooktops a much safer cooking method for a visually impaired person. The pot will heat up, but the cooking surface itself will not. As soon as the pan is removed from the cook top, the cooking surface is cool enough to the touch. They are also faster and more efficient than a standard electric cook top. This stand alone, single burner cooker has 7 power settings and auto shut off. It has touch LED controls. Aluminum and copper pans cannot be used with an induction cook top since they cannot transmit a magnetic current. Cast iron, stainless steel, and any pot which will hold a magnet is an acceptable type pan.
