OrCam Read is a first-of-its-kind handheld scanner and reader that instantly reads aloud text from any printed surface or digital screen. Point and click the marker-sized device and capture either full pages of text or target where to begin reading by activating one of the two precision laser guidance options.  OrCam Read can even capture street and building signs in the distance.  OrCam Read is an excellent tool for anyone with any kind of reading challenge, including dyslexia, reading fatigue, visual impairment or those who read large amounts of text – empowering them with real-time access to print material.

Use OrCam Read to read newspapers, books, bills, and computer and smartphone screens. In your home, use it to read product labels and food packaging.  While out and about, OrCam Read can read aloud street signs, menus, building labels, and other navigational markers. High-intensity LED light automatically illuminates reading in dimly-lit environments.

OrCam Read now automatically comes with Smart Reading.  Use vocal commands to read specific parts parts of a text, with commands such as "Read the headlines," "Start from....", "Read the second article," and "Read dates."  Find specific words, dates, phone numbers, amounts or articles using Smart Reading.
