The PenFriend III Audio Labeler from RNIB can help you label anything in your home with your own recorded messages. Labels are recorded on the PenFriend wand and associated with a sticker that you can affix anywhere. Touch the PenFriend to the sticker, and your message is played back. Label food, medicine, files, or even leave a message for a care-giver. New design includes a music player and a talking book player. 16GB of internal memory and SD card slot up to 16GB.
The PenFriend III Voice Labeling System comes with 105 tactile labels, inlcuding 21 square and 84 small circular orange and yellow self-adhesive tactile labels. It also has 1 key fob with 4 individual recording spots. Use the recordable stickers to leave memos, notes, lists, mark food items, dates of purchases, reminders, mark your calendar, music collection, record whatever you wish on these labels. The possibilities are endless. Stick a label on a small magnet and label canned food products as well! Labels can be re-recorded.
If you have access to a Windows based computer, you can backup and manage your recordings using File Explorer or the free Label Manager software which can be downloaded from penfriendlabeller.com/penfriend-manager.

Label Manager offers two access options:
1. Audio Interface, which is the Jaws ready simple backup system.
2. Graphic Interface for which you may require sighted assistance.
Most of the utility functions such as backups/restore can be done on both interfaces. Use the Graphics Interface or File Explorer for loading music and Talking Books.

Convert your original PenFriend recordings to use on your PenFriend 3
If you're replacing your original PenFriend or PenFriend 2 with an PenFriend 3 you can transfer all your recordings from your old pen to your new one. This means you can still listen to all your recordings from the same labels.
Download the PenFriend Tool Transfer Wizard
Click Here. on a Windows based computer.
Save the program to your hard disk and then select the setup.exe file to install the Wizard and run the program by selecting the PenFriend Transfer Wizard icon on your desktop. Connect your original PenFriend with the USB cable and follow the instructions. The transfer takes about five minutes to complete and afterwards you can continue to use your original PenFriend as well as your new PenFriend 3.
